What Is Small Business Mentors?

SBM is an intensive, strategic mentoring program designed to provide entrepreneurs the specific guidance, tools and resources to break barriers, grow their business and achieve their goals.

We start with a 2-day focused working retreat which gives small business owners the ability to work directly with a business coach, legal, financial, IT and marketing professionals. The retreat atmosphere allows owners time and space to focus specifically on their issues in their business in their market and create specific and strategic blueprints for their future.

Entrepreneurship can be a lonely and stressful profession. Often entrepreneurs get started without a good support system and struggle to make their vision work. SBM strives to provide entrepreneurs with the resources, tools and support to reduce some of the twists and turns of business. We support local because small business owners need local support. Small business owners work with local mentors while also working alongside other owners to foster a strong support system.

Why Is SBM Different?

Our program is designed specifically with small business entrepreneurs in mind.

  •  Attendance is capped at 30 people per retreat so that Owners have time to learn from each Mentor.
  • Owners will walk away with a customized, actionable business/marketing plan.
  • SBM Mentors are small business owners themselves and have hands-on experience of being in the owner’s shoes.
  • Throughout the day, there will be multiple flex sessions to work on business/marketing plans. Mentors will be available to work one-on-one or to provide small group guided discussions.
  • Following the retreat, owners have access to 7 – 60-minute sessions: 4 live Accountability/ Q&A sessions, and 3 continuing education sessions to provide ongoing advice and education.
  • SBM Mentors are local professionals, or professionals who work in the local area, to provide location-specific information and encourage long-term relationship building.
  • Owners will leave with lists of local resources.
